    Fishing

Spend a day on the water, and just some of the fish you may encounter include redfish, snook, sea trout, bonefish, tarpon, snapper, jacks, ladyfish, pompano, grouper, sheep head, and black drum. In addition to deep-sea fishing, flats and backcountry fishing in the everglades is a unique experience for out-of-town guests. The best time for fishing in the Florida Keys is when the water temps reach above 75 degrees (Fahrenheit), which is usually mid-March through June and the summer. • SNORKELING & DIVING

    Snorkeling

Most snorkeling adventures start at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, where travelers can hop on a boat to several nearby reefs where they can go snorkeling. Additionally, travelers can enjoy snorkeling with a private boat charter, which is a great way to explore some of the lesser-known reefs of the region like The Elbow, Grecian Rocks, Dry Rocks & Christ of the Abyss, Mosquito Bank, White Rocks Dry Banks, and French Reef. For groups of six or more people, we suggest a private charter.
